Chitral is the heart of Hindukush land in the northern frontiers of Pakistan. Decorated with its historical forts, botanical splendors, and the sparkling Tirich Mir peak towering over the valley, Chitral has intrigued travelers for years. Once the most crucial point for invaders of the ancient eras, today, Chitral hosts the most pleasing sights for backpackers and tourists from across the globe. The Chitral-Gol National Park is another ecological wonder in the valley. It is the home of the Markhor, a rare wild goat species. Chitral is also the gateway to the ancient Dardic Kalasha tribes residing in the neighboring Kalash Valley.
Itinerary
Day 1
Day 1: (Option 1 By Air)
11:00 am: Pick up from Chitral Airport. A brief meet and greet session with Team ATP and we drive to Ayun Valley. (1-hour drive) 12:00: Arrival at Ayun Fort Inn, the best place to be in Chitral. 1:00 pm: Enjoy organic delicacies in Lunch. Visit the mulberry orchard in the hotel vicinity and relax at a beautiful resort. The resort is surrounded by a serene rose garden and has some special views of Tirichmir the queen of Hindukush Range standing a tall guarding the Chitral Valley. Sit around the bonfire and enjoy live local music and dance to the beats of music. 8:00 pm: Enjoy Bonfire dinner with local delicacies. Overnight stay at Ayun Fort.
Day 1: (Option 2 By road)
Early morning departure from Islamabad for Ayun Fort Chitral via Lowari tunnel. (10 to 12 hours drive) Brief stopovers throughout for Lunch and refreshments. Arrival at Ayun Fort Inn for dinner and overnight stay.
Day 2
8:00 am: Breakfast 9:00 am: A soft walk along the water channel towards the waterfalls, serene views for you. 1:30 pm: Enjoy your lunch in the beautiful vicinity. Time free to relax (in case you drove from Islamabad the previous day) Or we explore the town of Ayun, visit the small bazar and walk along the river and enjoy the breathtaking views of Ayun Valley. Interact with the locals and know about their culture. 8:00 pm: Candle Lit Live Bar B Q dinner. Overnight stay at Ayun Fort.
Day 3
After breakfast, we drive to Bamburiat in the beautiful Hindukush Mountain range. Meet these unique people, Explore Village’ and enjoy spectacular scenery’s all around. Spend your day among one of the most unique tribes in Kalash Valley. Overnight stay at ATP private Campsite.
Day 4
After breakfast visit Beshaline from outside Karkal graveyard, Jastkhan the worship place and Kalasha Museum. Lunch at Campsite. In the evening we trek to the valley viewpoint through the white Marbel Forest. Dinner and overnight stay at ATP Campsite.
Day 5
After breakfast drive to Chitral City; check-in Tirichmir hotel Chitral. Visit the bazaar for unique Gem Stones, local handicraft & jewelry shops. Enjoy spectacular views of Tirchmir; the highest mountain of Hindukush Range. (7708 m) Overnight stay at Tirichmir hotel.
Day 6
After breakfast drive to Chitral Goal National Park visit Summer Palace and Birmughlasht. After visiting the Summer Palace drive back to Chitral city for lunch. After lunch visits Chitral Museum and Royal Masjid. Visit the Yagour Fish farms and indulge yourself in fishing. Enjoy the ancient style of the river crossing. Overnight stay at Tirichmir hotel.
Day 7
Departure to Chitral Airport as per flight schedule. Option 2 By Road Early morning departure for Islamabad via Lowari tunnel.
