Fairy Meadow is a lush green plateau; many people have called it the most beautiful place in Pakistan. These dense, green meadows and forests lie at the base of Nanga Parbat at the western edge of the Himalayan range. Fairy Meadows is a very peaceful and relaxing place to enjoy the mountain atmosphere and hospitality of the local people. Fairy Meadows's name is part of the legend that Fairies have their heaven on this lush green plateau. Fairy Meadow offers superb views of the Nanga Parbat (8125 m), the highest mountain in the Himalayan range of Pakistan.
Nanga Parbat, which means Naked Mountain, the local People call Diamer. It is about 540 km drive through Karakorum Highway, from Islamabad to Raikot Bridge (1400 m). Local Jeeps will take you up to the Tatto village; it is one and half hour excited drive from Raikot Bridge to the last town of Tatto (2900 m). They are crossing through the most impressive view of Karakorum Highway & River Indus. On arrival at Tatto village, it starts trekking on a straightforward route to Fairy meadows.
Itinerary
Day 1
Fly to Gilgit, if unable to fly, same day we will drive to Chilas by KKH road. After an early
breakfast drive from Islamabd to Chilas en route stop for Lunch in Besham PTDC Hotel.
And further drive to KKH to Chilas and overnight in Hotel Panoroma or Shangrialla with
double occupancy.Chilas, a major town on the upper course of the Indus &
a gateway to Gilgit, Hunza, Skardu, and Nanga Parbat Valleys.
Our whole journey will proceed on the Karakoram Highway,
Day 2
7 AM: After an early breakfast, embarkby Van to Riakot Bridge and further
drive by jeeps towards Yaal/Tato Village.Up arrival at Tato Village easy
walk for about 2 hours to Fairy Meadows. Overnight camping. All meals served
by our camping staff. Walk : 02 Hrs Grade : easy Altitude : 3300 M
Day 3
Trek to Beyal Camp for about 2 hours.Full day at the disposal of the group
to relax, explore the surroundings or make easy optional climbs to the
Jillipur Peak, 5206 M or Buldar Peak5602 M, higher than all the peaks in
Europe. If you are a fit trekker and know the basics of walking on ice
and snow but have so far not climbed any peak yet if you wish to
be a summiteers, our staff will provide you all possible assistance and escort
all the way to the summit and make your dream come true
(check for additional cost) Overnight in tents. All meals served by
camp staff. Walk: optional Grade: moderate
Day 4
Trek back to Fairy Meadows .Stay at wooden house .Traditional dinner
with a musical program and local people of Dance.
Day 5
7:00 AM: After an early breakfast .outbound trek to Tato, meet the
jeeps and drive to Riakot and Chilas .Lunch at Chilas hotel and further
drive to Naran over the Babusar Pass .Overnight in PTDC Motel .All meals
included. Walk: 07 Hrs Grade: Moderate Altitude: Meters.
Day 6
7:00 AM: After breakfast, early in the morning at 5:00 proceed to
Islamabad via, Besham and Abbotabad. Situated 120 km north
of Islamabad, Abbotabad is a small cantonment named after James Abbott.
With cool & pleasant air at an altitude of 1220 M, these growing town
domains the biggest military academy & has lately become a hub of
business, trade & tourist activities.
