St Patrick’s Cathedral, the Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Karachi, is located near Empress Market in the Saddar locality and was completed in 1881. The cathedral, designed by Father Karl Wagner, is constructed in the Gothic Revival style. The cathedral can facilitate 1 500 worshippers at the same time. Visiting St Patrick’s Cathedral is a spiritual experience, irrespective of your religion. Christians go to the cathedral to pray, but followers of other religions also visit this historic cathedral to admire its architecture and feel a sense of calm.
