Shri Varun Dev Mandir is located on Manora Beach. No one is sure about the exact year of its construction, but the present building was renovated in 1917-1918. The temple is dedicated to Varuna, the god of the sky and seas in Hinduism. Legend has it that a wealthy sailor named Bhojomal Nancy Bhattia bought Manora Island in the 16th century and built a temple.
