The Shigar Fort is a majestic piece of architecture in the Shigar valley. Shigar Fort is the most visited place because it is a piece of history.The Fort was built nearly 400 years ago. The entire construction is built up of stones with solid foundations. Earlier, the fort was known as the Palace of Rock, but now it serves as a guest house and reveals the treasure pieces of Baltit culture. The valley of Shigar is 23km away from Skardu.
