Sandspit Beach

Located near Hawke’s Bay in southwest Karachi, Sandspit Beach is a very famous tourist attraction. Sandspit Beach is a breeding ground for green turtles and olive ridley turtles in the winter months. The beach is named so because of the pits where turtles bury their eggs. WWF has founded a Wetland Centre at Sandspit Beach to make the people aware of the conservation of green turtles. The best time to visit Sandspit Beach is from October to March, when the water is calm, and you can explore nature closely. If you are lucky enough to see turtles hatching, that would surely be one of the most memorable experiences of your life! Besides enjoying a picnic with their loved ones, people can do horse riding and camel riding. Those with a flair for swimming can do so without fear because the water is not very deep.
