Rupal Base Camp
The spectacular south, or Rupal, face of Nanga Parbat climbs 4572m from the floor of the Rupal Gah, creating the largest vertical ascent of any peak from base camp to summit. The easy routes and two short nontechnical glacier crossings take you right beneath it for close-up views. Despite its popularity, the Rupal Gah receives less visitors than Fairy Meadow.
