Quaid e Azam library

Located inside the glorious Bagh-e-Jinnah, Quaid-e-Azam Library is a masterpiece of 19th century Victorian architecture. The building was previously used as Lahore and Mian Mir Institute, later famously known as Lahore Gymkhana Club. The library, as we now know, former president General Zia-ul-Haq inaugurated it in 1984. With more than 125 000 books in English, Urdu, Arabic, and Persian, Quaid-e-Azam Library is one of the biggest public libraries in Lahore. The numbers keep growing as almost 2000 books are added every year. It is a non-lending library. The atmosphere at Quaid-e-Azam Library, with its impenetrable silence, provides the perfect setting for an unforgettable reading experience, whether you are reading for pleasure or research purposes. Apart from visiting the library for research purposes, people visit it to admire the lovely architecture. The building provides a perfect background for photoshoots.
