Pakistan Air Force Museum

Located next to Pakistan Air Force Base Faisal on Shahrah-e-Faisal, Pakistan Air Force Museum is one of the most famous aviation museums in the world. Inaugurated on 14th August 1997, by then Chief of the Air Staff, Chief Marshal Abbas Khattak, the museum displays different aircraft and air defense equipment used by Pakistan Air Force. Vickers VC 1 Viking, the aircraft used by Quaid-e-Azam, is displayed in the archives gallery of the museum. Gnat aircraft, an Indian aircraft that was forced to land at Pasroor in the 1965 war, is on display in the archives gallery. Visiting Pakistan Air Force Museum is an emotional experience. When you visit the martyrs’ monument and read about the brave pilots who sacrificed their lives to defend their country, you feel proud of them and are grateful to them for securing the motherland by laying down their lives. People can see all the aircraft and air defence equipment being used by Pakistan Air Force. There is a huge playing area for children with different rides. The cafeteria and restaurant serve the visitors when they feel tired and hungry after visiting the huge museum.
