Mules Mansion

Mules Mansion was built in 1917 near Native Jetty Bridge as the office of Karachi Port Trust. It was designed by Moses Smoke, the renowned Jewish architect. He designed some of the most famous buildings of Karachi, including Khaliq Dina Hall, Edward House, and the Karachi Goan Association. The building is a medley of Renaissance and Anglo-Oriental architectural styles. Named after Charles Mules, the first chairman of Karachi Port Trust, Mules Mansion was used as the Naval Headquarters for some time after the independence of Pakistan in 1947. Nowadays, Mules Mansion serves several purposes. There are a few shops and offices on the ground floor and residential apartments in the upper portion of the building. Visitors go to see this huge building to admire its lovely architecture.
