Manora Point Lighthouse
Constructed in 1851 by the British in Manora on the Arabian Sea, the need for a lighthouse arose because of a significant increase in the ship traffic to and from the subcontinent from the port of Karachi during the British Raj. It was renovated in 1889 and is still functional. A lighthouse replica is on display in Pakistan Maritime Museum, and visitors can climb the tower. However, the size of the building is not the same.
