Lahore Zoo

Established in 1872, Lahore Zoo started as a small aviary but expanded over the years as animals increased. It was handed over to the Wildlife and Parks department in 1982 and has since been upgraded significantly. Lahore Zoo is one of the oldest zoos in the world. With about 1378 animals of 135 species, Lahore Zoo is one of the biggest zoos in Pakistan. Seeing different species of animals at Lahore Zoo reminds us that it is our responsibility to treat animals with love and care. Children love to see different animals of their choice roaming around, and simultaneously they learn so much about different species of animals. It is an excellent place for a family outing.
