Jinnah Park Peshawer
Located opposite the historic Bala Hisar Fort on the Grand Trunk Road, Jinnah Park was previously known as Cunningham Park, named after Sir George Cunningham, the former governor of Peshawar. Jinnah Park Peshawar was the site of a referendum in July 1947 carried out by the British to ask the people whether they wished to join India or Pakistan. With its rich history, this historic park takes you back to pre-independence days when people gathered here and voted to join Pakistan. A sense of patriotism arises in you besides making you feel fresh in the company of innumerable plants, trees, and flowers. Children love visiting Jinnah Park because they can just run around freely and play different games. Adults can jog, walk, enjoy a picnic and breathe in fresh air to refresh themselves.
