Jehangir Kothari Parade
Jehangir Kothari Parade is an esplanade located in the Clifton Beach area. Constructed in 1919 and opened to the public in 1920, it was extensively renovated during President General Musharraf’s reign. The promenade has two structures – Promenade Pavilion and Lady Lloyd Pier. Jehangir Kothari Parade is named after Seth Jehangir Hormusji Kothari, who donated the land for the project in 1919. To honour the wife of then Governor of Bombay Sir George Lloyd, the pier has been named Lady Lloyd Pier. Walking on this lovely promenade on the beach gives you peace of mind and brings a sense of calmness to your life. You forget about everything else and enjoy the lovely scene on the beach. People go to Jehangir Kothari Parade for a leisurely walk, especially in the morning and evening, and enjoy the beauty of nature.
