Located in Sir Syed Memorial Building on Ataturk Avenue, Sector G-5, Islamabad Museum was founded in 2002. Islamabad Museum has one of the oldest hand-made tools, excavated from Soan Valley and thought to be two million years old! After seeing prehistoric artifacts belonging to different civilizations, you marvel at the evolution of Man over time. The journey has been incredible, beginning with the invention of some of the most important tools and culminating in the advent of the Internet and the conquest of the moon. This realization makes you believe that nothing is impossible if we use our minds in the right direction. People visit Islamabad Museum to learn about the history of the area now called Pakistan. They get a chance to discover different civilizations that flourished in this historic area and explore their culture in detail through their surviving artifacts.
