Hafeez Jallandhari Tomb

Hafeez Jalandhari is one of the great Pakistani poets who collected a lot of fame across the whole country. He was born on 14th January 1900 in Jalandhar. He has been studying under the teaching and direction of poet Maulana Ghulam Qadir Bilgrami. He got the pure sense of poetry that led him to a very progressive way to prepare the National Anthem of Pakistan. Hafeez Jalandhari's poetry deals with many fields such as romantic, patriotic, natural, and religious themes. He continued to move forward that one day his excellence awarded him with the highest prize of Pakistan known as Hilal-e-Imtiaz and the pride of performance by the Pakistani Government. He was born in India, but after partitions, he chose a Pakistani and came to Pakistan, where he died on 12th December 1982 in Lahore. Buried in Model Town, Lahore, his remains were later shifted to a tomb built by the Government of Pakistan near the Minar-e-Pakistan in Lahore, the site of the Pakistan Resolution.
