Governor House Lahore

Spread over 700 kanals, the Governor's House is a sprawling facility serving as the official residence of Punjab's governors. The building was the residence for the British Lieutenant-Governor of Punjab during the British Raj. Governor House is within walking distance of some of the most famous buildings like Al-Hamra Arts Council, the Lahore Zoo, PC Hotel, Avari Hotel, Jinnah Garden, Aitchison College, and the Children's Library Complex. Governor House is a unique place because its architecture is a combination of Mughal and British eras. The antique architectural style of the Mughals and the modern architectural style of the British, when combined, offer a treat to the eyes. The government of Punjab has opened this facility for the public to visit. People now make a trip to admire the mansion's grandeur with its picturesque lawns, lake, and fountains.
