Fort Akal Garh

The Sikhs built many forts in the Frontier, one of which was Akal-Garh Fort of Dera Ismail Khan. It is now known as lqbal Garh Fort. This mud fort built by Nao Nihal Sing in 1836 and was further improved by the British. Situated north-west of the city, the fort has the shrine of a famous saint, just outside the main gate
