Dhamrao jo Daro

A group of mounds, three or even four in number, lie northwest of the village of Dhamrao and six miles from Badah Railway station on the Badah-Mehar Kucha road. Easily accessible through a tonga from Badah Railway station. The mound of this group is almost circular in plan and conical in shape. It is sprinkled with potsherds and old brickbats to the extent that it gives a pottery colored view from a distance. The local community uses it to get brick-bats, some of which are cut and smoothened bricks, such as seen in the building of the Great Bath at Mohenjo-Daro. The rest of the mounds that occupy a large area are also covered with potsherds.
