The Secretariat monitors the administration of the province on the Chief Minister’s behalf. It is located on Club Road, G.O.R – I. The Chief Minister’s staff till the 1970s included just one person, the Secretary to Chief Minister. Whenever the Chief Minister needed to be in touch with any secretary or officer at the provincial level, he did so directly.
