Bara Pani

Deosai is a National Park located in the Northern Areas of Pakistan. It is one of the highest plateaus in the world with height over 4,000 meters above the sea level, covering an area of about 3,000 square kilo meters. It is snow-bound from November to May. In the summer months when the snow clears up KJTI organizes jeep treks from June to September. There is a famous bridge on the river call Bara Pani meaning big river. It is accessible from Skardu on one side and Astore Valley in the west. Deosai is well known for its spring season when it is covered by a carpet of millions of flowers and a wide variety of butterflies.
