1) Takht Bai
Takht-i-Bahi , commonly mispronounced as Takht-i-Bhai , is an Indo-Parthian archaeological site of an ancient Buddhist monastery in Mardan, Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa, Pakistan. The site is considered among the most imposing relics of Buddhism in all of Gandhara, and has been exceptionally well-preserved.The Buddhist monastery was founded in the 1st century CE, and was in use until the 7th century. The complex is regarded by archaeologists as being particularly representative of the architecture of Buddhist monastic centres from its era. Takht-i-Bahi was listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1980.
2) Bacha Khan Monument
Bacha Khan Monument is a memorial located at College Chowk, Mardan. The monument was built by Mr. Haider Khan Hoti, who was a member of the Awami National Party during 2010-11. It was based on representative symbols of Pakhtun culture. This is one of the most beautiful and important places. This is a 60 ft high beautiful monument. This historical site contains the ruins of Buddhists which were built during the reign of Kushan Khan and are still present in a strong position. Ancient things like statues, coins, utensils and jewellery are usually found here. Since 1980 it has also been included in the list of world cultural heritage of UNESCO.
