Tharparkar

Tharparkar district in Sindh is one of the most famous places of Pakistan. It is known to be a topical desert and hence has the same corresponding climate. There are many distinct features of this place, some of which include the Chinkara wildlife sanctuary and the vulture migratory birds’ sanctuary. This sanctuary has one of the famous endangered species of vultures. Hence, there is a preservation of wildlife.

The best feature of Tharparkar is that it is a fertile dessert. In the world, Tharparkar may be deemed as only the eighteenth largest desert but has significance as being the only one that is fertile.

However, since it is a desert there are a lot of challenges that people face while living over there. There is a scarcity of water and basic food resources. Many organizations are working to provide food resources to the inhabitants of this famous district in order to save humans from dying of hunger. The extreme temperatures make it difficult to have urban development. One of the distinct features is the folklore of Tharparkar. Moreover, there are many tribes present which makes this place full of cultural heritage. Tharparkar is known to be the largest Hindu-populated district in Pakistan.
