Pakistani sweets are world famous. In Pakistan celebrations are incomplete without sweets they are a symbol of happiness. Whether it’s a wedding or coming of a newborn, home or office. The first thing you’d hear the elders say is to bring some sweets and make the happy occasion even happier. One can also give sweets as a gift to their loved ones. A few of these sweets are:

Barfi

These are made up of milk and sugar, solidifies, and cut into different shapes. Barfi is one of the most famous Pakistani sweet. They have a soft and velvet-like texture. It is often decorated with almonds and pistachio.

Jalebi

These are orange-colored and in form of long circular strips. It  is made using rice flour, curd, and all-purpose flour. They have a crispy and crunchy texture.

Laddu

This sweet is usually seen on every occasion. It has a round shape and is made from sugar and gram flour. The most famous sort of Laddu is Moti Chor Laddu.

Gulab Jamun

It is the star of all sweets. They also have a soft and velvet-like texture with golden brown color and round shape. They are made using khoya, flour, and milk. It tastes best with served hot.

Pakistani sweets are very famous all over the world. They are less of food and more of sentiments that connect people. These sweets are not just rich in nutrients but in calories too. So one shouldn’t have too much of these or they’d suffer from diabetes.
