Sailing Valley Khaplu is a beautiful valley in the Ghanche District, Khaplu Gilgit-Baltistan. Saling is a doorway to Hushe Valley as well as a very nice camping spot just beside a lake. On the other side is a marvellous view of Khaplu Town.

There is a wonderful fish farm in Saling that offers delicious fish feasts. That is also a picnic point in Sailing valley. Many springs are also present on the fish farm. A hot spring is in this area. which is good for bathing in the winters as well. The water of this spring is hot in winters and cold in summers.

There is a small river in Sailing Valley which also has a beautiful wooden bridge over it. Only a single vehicle can cross the bridge at a time. Markhor is also present abundantly in this valley. Images of Markhor and other animals are farmed in the mountains. There are still some signs of Budisim in this valley like in some other parts of Baltistan.

There is also a garden which has different kinds of fruits and vegetables. A variety of flowers and roses are also present in this garden.

The Sailing valley was the king’s empire. The royal Amacha family’s Fort was also there in the Sailing valley. But this fort is not as big as in the Khaplu mal. That’s the reason that this fort is not as famous as the one in Khaplu mal.

The land of the Sailing valley is so fertile. Most people grow wheat, potatoes, tomatoes, and other vegetables. Provide livestock to fulfil the daily requirement of milk and meat. The people of this valley are famous for their hospitality. The crime rate in this valley is 0%. No case has been registered in the police stations here in the last several years.

Sogha Lake Sailing Valley

Amazing and unique lake in comparison with other lakes in Gilgit-Baltistan. The water is clear and sky blue and we can see the plants on the bottom of the water. Reflection of surrounding mountains and trees also makes the water look great. It is right next to the road. The lake is also home to the famous trout fish of Gilgit-Baltistan.
