How to get there?

From Kalam, you can reach the valley through an unpaved route in a four-wheel-drive car or a four-by-four (4×4) vehicle. The route is hilly and difficult. However, the scenery all around you is so captivating that you can’t help but want to see more of it and expect to come across new panoramas.

You will enter the amazing and spectacular valley of Mahodand after travelling for approximately four to five hours from the enormous valley of Kalam. Here, you will be greeted by the little lakes, towering trees, and sweeping meadows that make up the valley.

Best time to Visit Mahodand Lake

Mahodand Lake in the winter months can be risky, so it is best to wait until April to October when the weather is much warmer and there is less snowfall. Due to the extreme coldness and heavy snow in the winter months, roads can become blocked, making it difficult to get to the lake.
